Mumbai: In a major Diwali gift for women, Maharashtra’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana (Ladki Bahin Yojana) beneficiaries will soon receive the September installment of the ₹1500 honorarium directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
The announcement was made by Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare, who confirmed that the transfer process has already begun from Monday.

What Aditi Tatkare Said?
According to Maharashtra Times, Minister Aditi Tatkare emphasized that the government is ensuring full transparency in the payment process. She also announced that all eligible women must complete their e-KYC verification within the next two months.
Failure to complete this step may delay future payments. Beneficiaries are urged to visit the official portal and complete their e-KYC as soon as possible to continue receiving the monthly benefit.

Camps Requested for Rural Women
While the e-KYC process is available online, several women in rural areas face challenges due to limited internet access or lack of digital literacy.
Social workers, self-help groups, and NGOs have requested the government to set up offline e-KYC camps in villages to ensure that every eligible woman continues to receive her rightful benefits under the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
